Freedom Solutions Australia branching out in Sutherland Shire
Freedom Solutions is all about clever ideas and changing lives, recently FSA has been reaching out to customers, volunteers and community in the Sutherland Shire and learning of opportunities with clever ideas and new ways we can help people with disability.
One of our dedicated volunteers Chris Chambers, heard about a fantastic Sutherland Shire Council initiative the ShireABILITY Art Awards. This Art Award showcases artists of all ages living with a disability in the regions through a showcase of works displayed at Hazelhurst Arts Centre. This event was held in conjunction with events celebrating International Day for People with a Disability, December 2024.
Freedom Solutions joined as a sponsor of this event in 2024. Chris and Kathleen Nicholls, Executive Manager FSA, were on hand at the Opening of the ShireABILITY Art Awards and presented the Highly Commended in the Open Award category. The art on display was excellent, with many artists using the local environment to inspire their work.
More recently, Chris and Kathleen were invited to meet with the Rotary Club of Sutherland to present on the work of Freedom Solutions Australia. Kathleen spoke about the vision and legacy of the organisation while Chris spoke with the group about projects that he has specifically been a part of during his time as a technical volunteer.
The club members were enthusiastic to hear of the range of Unique Solutions and Freedom Wheels products that we offer. The club kindly donated $1,000 to help us continue our work particularly for our clietns and community in the Sutherland area.
