Funding Options

Having a customised piece of Assistive Technology can make a huge difference in the life of someone living with disability. But with any big purchase, it’s important to consider your funding options. That’s why we’ve put together a comprehensive guide to the three main funding options for you.

No matter which funding option you choose, we’re here to help you every step of the way. With our range of bikes and trikes, you’re sure to find the perfect Freedom Wheels Bike to suit your needs. Contact us today to learn more about our funding options and to start the journey towards increased mobility and freedom.

NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for a wide range of assistive technology and equipment for people living with disability. If you’re eligible for NDIS funding, you can use it to purchase a Freedom Wheels Bike or a customised piece of assistive technology. You’ll need to submit a quote from an NDIS registered provider, and the NDIS will provide you with a set amount of funding to purchase the equipment.

Self-Funding

If you’re able to pay for the piece of assistive technology out of pocket, self-funding is the simplest and quickest option.

This means you’ll be responsible for the entire cost of the equipment or bike. A major benefit of choosing this option is that there will be no extended waiting periods as opposed to the NDIS or Third-party funding.

If you choose Self-funding, we’ll be able to begin building your equipment once we receive the payment.

Third-party Funding

If you’re unable to access funding from the NDIS, or if your NDIS funding doesn’t cover the entire cost, you can explore third-party funding options.

This includes grants and donations from organisations and foundations that support people living with disability.

You can also directly apply for funding (specific criteria applies) through the following charities or Trusts:

If you’d like to explore third-party funding, please contact us by sending us an enquiry.

Alternatively, you can contact our grants team at [email protected] if you’d like to talk about grant funding and fundraising opportunities with Freedom Solutions Australia.
