A Transition from Volunteer to Client
Becoming a client of own product
Henry, our volunteer in Peninsula (VIC) Branch became a client of a product he developed.
Back in 2019, Peninsula Branch was developing a single handed walker to support more people with disability. Little did he know that he’d become a recipient of one later, Henry played a vital role in designing the walker and modified two for clients in the Mornington Peninsula.
In September last year, he suffered a stroke. One of our volunteers in Peninsula modified a walker to best suit his needs and now Henry has turned from our volunteer to client.
He hopes that this walker will be a short term solution, until he is able to walk unaided again!
